유동의 몸
작업 속 몸은 고정된 실체가 아니라, 질병과의 관계 속에서 끊임없이 해체되고 재구성되는 상태로 나타난다.
그 중심에는 작가의 자전적 경험인 편두통 및 만성적 통증이 자리한다.
통증은 신체의 안정된 구조를 흔들어 경계를 무너뜨리고, 몸을 통제할 수 없는 낯선 존재로 드러낸다.
이 과정에서 몸은 자아의 일부이면서도 동시에 분리된 타자로 감각된다.
고통에 노출된 여성의 몸은 개별적인 개체로 머무르지 않고 서로 감응하며 연결된다.
이러한 접촉은 규범화된 신체의 경계를 넘어서는 연대의 감각을 형성한다.
나아가 몸은 인간 중심의 형태를 벗어나 식물 혹은 동물과의 결합과 분리를 반복하며 예측할 수 없는 변형의 상태로 이행한다.
질병으로 약화된 신체는 오히려 다른 생명과의 연결 속에서 새로운 생명적 순환의 가능성을 드러낸다.
The body in my work is not a fixed entity, but a state of continuous deconstruction and reassembly in relation to illness.
At its center lies my autobiographical experience of migraines and chronic pain.
Pain destabilizes the body’s stable structures, dissolving its boundaries and revealing it as an unfamiliar presence beyond control.
In this process, the body is sensed as both part of the self and a detached other.
Female bodies exposed to pain do not remain isolated; they resonate and connect.
This contact forms a sense of solidarity that transcends normative boundaries.
The body further departs from anthropocentric forms, shifting into unpredictable states
through repeated processes of union with and separation from plants and animals.
A body weakened by illness, in turn, reveals the possibility of a different cycle of life through its connection with other living forms.
