<우리 사랑은 형광색이야> 시리즈는 질병이라는 아포칼립스(Apocalypse)적 재난 속에서의 생존 방식을 제시한다.
질병으로 인해 통제를 벗어난 몸은 고통의 전쟁터가 된다.
이 파멸적인 세계에서 ‘사랑’은 특정한 형태나 정체성에 머무르지 않고, 정의되지 않은 생명체들과 온기를 나누며 발생한다.
내 몸 바깥의 존재를 껴안음으로써 역설적으로 자신의 실존을 확인하고, 내 몸과 화해하는 것이다.
가장 순수하고 강렬한 사랑은 형광색의 빛을 뿜어내며, 잠시나마 고통의 몸을 벗어나게 한다.
이러한 피부의 접촉을 통해 형광빛 존재를 품은 몸은 신체라는 껍데기를 벗고 용감하게 앞으로 나아간다.
<Our Love is Fluorescent> presents a mode of survival within the apocalyptic state of illness.
As the body becomes a battlefield of pain beyond control, “love” is not confined to specific forms or identities,
emerging through the exchange of warmth with undefined beings.
By embracing what exists outside the body, the body paradoxically confirms its own presence and re-senses its relation to itself.
